Springtime in Saskatchewan

Woke up this morning to this...

While it didn't deter us from our morning walk even Hunter seemed a little depressed when he asked "Mum, isn't it supposed to be spring?". Sigh, even multi-million dollar retention and attraction campaigns about exceptionally low-costs of living can't do anything about the weather as points west seem very appealing on days like this.

It is no better here.....been snowing since I took the girls to school this morning. There is a heavy snowfall warning for my parents. On the plus side it is supposed to be 14 on Saturday when we are having our hockey team wrap up party at our house!

On the plus side....snowy days are good days to paint. Now I just have to actually turn off my computer. 3....2....1.....see you in a few days!!! (I will post pics to prove I did something though).

Yeah, my Mum and Dad said they weren't even rid of their snow yet this weekend so I can't complain too much - at least we did have a time period where it was dry and snow-free. I'm thinking about BC but then a person would have to deal with the rain and power outages :)

I've got painting I'm supposed to be doing too...

Dude, thanks for the perspective! I'll stop whining about New York weather now.

I should post another one - that was just in the morning, it's been snowing all day. Though I hear it's a wet cold in New York.

Hey Cammy!!! I grew up in Saskatchewan!!! Melville is where I was born and raised then I went to Saskatoon when I got married and went to school at SIAST - Kelsey to get my Diploma Nursing.

Ugh. I am so tired of winter. We've done I don't know how many jigsaw puzzles and yesterday and went and found the lego. Now that is sad. ;) But, we have these lego kits that the kids mixed up when they were younger, so it's a cleaning exercise as well. It's as good an excuse as any and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Keep up the posting, oh and Merry Christmas. :)

Iris - I still feel like a Saskatchewan newbie most of the time even though I've been here for over ten years now (I wonder if I'll feel this way when I've been here as long as I was in Alberta?). I think it's because I need to see more of the province - maybe melville is a good place to start?
