I still haven't gotten my hands on a copy of
The Death of Ivan Ilych and the next selection is already up! This time, Agatha Christie's
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I'm glad to see it's an Agatha Christie because it will force me to attempt to read her again (a failed attempt at 11 or 12 turned me off what might otherwise have been a staple). Will need to do some thinking about pace, order, etc. with this whole book club whim but I have concluded that a sidebar link makes sense. Progress, no?

How neat that he has included The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Although that is probably her most famous book, when I first read it, I did not like it at all. I wouldn't reread it for years and years, but now I like it as much and more than some of her other books. I think when I first read it, I was too young to appreciate it.
Maybe I can borrow your copy?
Certainly, I think that might be one I have in paperback and hardback, but I definitely have it one way or the other and yes you may borrow it
spThat was the first book I read by Agatha Christie. :) I was so pissed off that I didn't see the end coming. She truly was a master at mystery writing.
I'm much more excited about reading this one than the first selection now.
Awesome. Haven't read Death yet either - but will get to it asap and join the club!
